About the Role: The Ambassador of Checkout-Free Tech

As an Amazon Go Customer Experience Associate, you are the welcoming host and the operational engine of the store. You are not trapped behind a cash register because there are no cash registers. Instead, you roam the physical sales floor freely. Your primary objective is to act as a technological ambassador, teaching new customers how to seamlessly use the Amazon Go app to enter the turnstiles. Simultaneously, you will be executing rapid physical merchandising, ensuring the shelves of fresh sandwiches, salads, and local baked goods are immaculately stocked and visually perfect. This role demands exceptional physical endurance, a highly extroverted personality, and a relentless commitment to Amazon's "Earn Trust" leadership principle. A Day in the Life of an Amazon Go Associate

Your shift begins directly on the physical sales floor of a bustling downtown Amazon Go location. After a quick morning huddle with your Store Manager, you deploy to the entrance turnstiles. The morning commuter rush hits. You actively greet dozens of professionals, helping first-time shoppers download the Amazon Go app, link their credit cards, and scan their entry codes. Once the rush subsides, you pivot to inventory management. You head to the backroom coolers, grab a heavy tote of freshly prepared sushi and salads, and meticulously restock the open-air chillers on the sales floor, ensuring all expiration dates are perfectly rotated and labels face perfectly forward. A customer asks you for a dietary recommendation; you warmly guide them to the gluten-free section. Throughout your 8-hour shift, you constantly alternate between high-touch, in-person customer tech support and the physical labor of maintaining a flawless, premium retail environment.

Comprehensive and Detailed Responsibilities

  • 100% On-Site Customer Hospitality: Provide elite, face-to-face customer service across the entire physical store. You will proactively approach customers, guide them through the "Just Walk Out" technology, and answer questions regarding product sourcing and allergens, acting as a knowledgeable and welcoming host.
  • Tech-Entry Onboarding: Serve as the primary on-site technical guide at the store's entry turnstiles. You will assist customers with navigating their smartphones, troubleshooting app-pairing errors, and ensuring a frictionless entry and exit process.
  • Physical Merchandising & Stocking: Execute the heavy-lifting demands of retail logistics. You will constantly unload daily delivery trucks, break down heavy totes, and meticulously restock shelves, coolers, and ambient displays. This requires the physical stamina to continuously lift boxes weighing up to 49 pounds.
  • Quality Control & Food Safety: Maintain uncompromising standards of food safety. You will continuously monitor the expiration dates of fresh, grab-and-go meals, execute strict temperature controls in the cold-chain environments, and ensure the entire physical sales floor is pristine and hygienic.
  • Loss Prevention & Vigilance: While the store uses advanced cameras, you act as a physical deterrent to shrink. You will maintain a highly visible presence on the floor, politely engaging with customers to ensure a secure, respectful shopping environment.

Basic Qualifications and Physical Requirements

  • Must be strictly 18 years of age or older and possess a High School diploma or equivalent educational credential.
