Comprehensive Duties & Responsibilities

As an Evening/Night Delivery Driver, your shifts typically begin in the late afternoon or early evening and push well into the midnight hours. You will take command of a company-provided delivery van, executing high-volume routes just as the city transitions from day to night. This role requires exceptional navigational skills, as you will deal with the transition from rush-hour sunset traffic into the dark, quiet streets of midnight.

• Twilight & Night Navigation: Expertly transition from daytime driving to navigating low-visibility environments. Utilize high-beam discipline and tactical flashlights to locate obscure house numbers and complex apartment buildings in the dark.
• Rush Hour to Midnight Adaptation: Manage varying traffic conditions smoothly. Execute rapid, safe deliveries during the dinner rush, then shift into high-efficiency, stealthy drop-offs during the quiet late-night window.
• Safety & Security Vigilance: Maintain absolute personal and vehicle security while delivering at night. Ensure the delivery van is securely locked at every stop, park in well-lit areas when possible, and remain hyper-aware of your surroundings.
• Cargo & Integrity Management: Transport highly sensitive goods, ensuring packages are securely hidden on customer porches away from street view during the night hours, protecting them from weather and theft until the morning.

Your shift kicks off just as the sun begins to lower. You arrive at the bustling delivery station, grab your route manifest and your wearable scanner, and load your van with highly organized packages and heavy overflow boxes. You hit the road, navigating the tail-end of the city's rush hour to deliver your first wave of orders. As the shift progresses, the traffic entirely disappears, and the streets become yours. You navigate by the glow of your GPS, pulling up to quiet homes, carefully carrying packages to the doorstep, and snapping a delivery confirmation photo in the dark using the flash. The evening air is cool, your favorite podcast is playing, and you operate with incredible independence. Basic Qualifications and Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid state driver's license. Exceptional driving record required. Must be highly confident and comfortable operating a large commercial van in heavy rush-hour traffic and in total darkness. Physical capability to repetitively lift, pull, and carry heavy, awkward packages (up to 50 lbs) up stairs and walkways in low-light conditions. Must pass a rigorous motor vehicle background check and multi-panel drug screening. Ability to work independently, manage time strictly to meet delivery windows, and operate smartphone GPS technology flawlessly.
