Power the Technology That Powers Amazon

About Amazon & Our Dominant Culture

An Amazon fulfillment center is a technological marvel. Our operations rely on tens of thousands of handheld RF scanners, two-way radios, and specialized batteries to function. When the tech goes down, the supply chain stops. We are seeking highly organized individuals to join our IT and Facilities support teams. If you are extremely detail-oriented and want highly specialized Amazon jobs that blend inventory management with technical support, this is a premier warehouse associate role.

What Our Associates Say: Real Employee Reviews

The Equipment Coordinator role is highly prized by those who love structure. An employee review notes: "Being the Equipment Coordinator is awesome. You aren't picking or packing; you are managing the central 'cage' where all the tech lives. I make sure every scanner is accounted for, charged, and repaired if broken. You interact with every manager and associate in the building. It’s a massive responsibility, but the steady pace and unbeatable health benefits make it one of the best logistics careers here."

Job Summary

As an Equipment Coordinator, you will manage the central equipment cage. You are the ultimate librarian of our facility's highly expensive, portable technology. You will issue handheld scanners and radios to associates at the start of their shift, receive them back at the end of the shift, and ensure everything is meticulously tracked, cleaned, and charged. You are the gatekeeper of operational readiness.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

  • Asset Tracking: Utilize checkout software to scan and assign specific RF scanners, batteries, and radios to individual associates, maintaining 100% accountability of all company assets.
  • Hardware Maintenance: Inspect returned equipment for physical damage. Clean scanner screens, untangle radio earpieces, and lock batteries into charging bays.
  • Troubleshooting & Ticketing: Perform basic troubleshooting (hard resets, battery swaps) on malfunctioning scanners. If broken, generate IT support tickets and package the devices for shipment to the repair depot.
  • Crowd Management: Efficiently manage the massive rush of associates at the cage during shift changes, ensuring equipment is handed out rapidly without sacrificing tracking accuracy.

Industry-Leading Benefits

Tech support roles at Amazon offer a dominant pathway to success:

  • IT Career Pathway: This role provides immense exposure to Amazon's internal IT teams, making it the perfect stepping stone for promotion into the IT Support Technician track.
  • Financial Empowerment: Utilize Anytime Pay to access your earnings daily, and build your future with our 401(k) match.
