Position Brief: On-Road Operational Commander

A high-performing logistics network is entirely dependent on the quality of its field leadership. We are actively seeking distinguished, veteran delivery professionals to ascend to the role of Fleet Team Lead within our Delivery Service Partner (DSP) network. This is a critical, hybrid command position that bridges the gap between frontline execution and central dispatch management. You will not merely drive a route; you will be the tactical anchor for the entire local fleet, responsible for mentoring new recruits, executing emergency on-road rescues, and ensuring the DSP hits its strict Amazon performance metrics. Core Operational Directives

Your objective is to ensure the operational fluidity of the entire daily dispatch. You will execute a condensed delivery route while actively monitoring, supporting, and rescuing the broader fleet of drivers on the road.

• Tactical Fleet Rescue (Sweeping): Function as the primary rapid-response unit. You will be dynamically deployed by dispatch to intercept drivers who are critically behind schedule. You must safely execute on-road cargo transfers, absorbing massive package volumes and delivering them rapidly to protect Amazon's on-time metrics.
• Field Mentorship & Shadowing: Serve as the primary operational instructor for all newly onboarded drivers. You will conduct multi-day ride-alongs, teaching them ergonomic freight handling, advanced routing app utilization, and the nuances of safe commercial vehicle operation in tight spaces.
• Load-Out Matrix Command: Anchor the morning dispatch operations at the Delivery Station. You will assist operations managers in auditing pre-trip vehicle inspections (DVIRs), organizing staging lanes, and physically helping slower drivers load their vans to ensure the fleet departs exactly on time.
• Incident Command & Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for minor on-road incidents, flat tires, or vehicle lockouts. You will guide drivers through strict accident reporting protocols, coordinate with tow companies, and secure compromised freight.

The Team Lead operates in an environment of constant communication and high-stakes problem-solving. You are the veteran presence on the asphalt. Your day will constantly shift from the solitary focus of delivering your own packages to the intense coordination of rescuing a panicked new driver trapped in an apartment complex. Candidate Criteria & Qualifications

This is strictly an advanced-tier position. Candidates must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
